Phil Rossi's Notes from the Vault (Current podcast) - Jun 16, 2008
Rating:
Phil weaves a tale of darkness with a spacy backdrop. Creepy scenes with death and their mystical causes keep every episode satisfied with its share of suspense and wonder.
Kendall is well portrayed as an archetype villain complete with vice and a penchant for causing the suffering of others.
Gerard (sp?), is well put for the center of the story with his sensible reactions and stable mindset, however, the 3rd person narration transfers well for the other good characters.
The author's style of reading leaves me a bit numb, however. The pace seems slow and stilted. Annunciative style is a plus, but each line is read as if it were a movie trailer introduction.
I loved the sound effects, as they were ample and appropriate.
Not quite hard science fiction, but thoroughly entertaining.
